The colors come in a full spectrum of colors. They are referred to as maiz criollo because they are not treated with chemicals and are heirloom to the area. These corn kernels are ready to be used for cooking. If you plan on germinating the seeds, the plant will grow but the corn cob may be missing some kernels unless the weather of where it is being planted is similar to its original weather (Veracruz).
